Who's Responsible?

Planning ordinances incentivize major subdivisions. We want to incentivize building farming communities and stop building major subdivisions in rural areas.  Here we identify the elected leaders and the planning departments who can do it. Contact them directly and let them know that enough is enough. See

The County is our main focus because that is where we are losing farmland.   Call them and let them know your thoughts!

Carthage

The population of Carthage is 2,500, but they have 1,800 proposed housing units on the books for completion soon.  Assuming no children and only 2 people per house, that will add 3,600 more people to the town.  That is a nearly 150% population increase! But what can you expect from a town that boasts their top planning service as acting as a "liaison" for developers?  Who is your liaison?

Vass

Vass

Vass' Welcome Page says they are an "ideal bedroom community for RTP [Research Triangle Park] commuters and Ft. Bragg families."   Seriously - the leadership of Vass aspires to be a bedroom community!  Wow.  We should be building communities, not bedrooms.

Who is responsible?
